Sequel and Playtest Announced for Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story

May 3, 2021 | Andreas

Indonesian studio Agate, the developers behind 2018’s Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story, has announced another sequel to the long-running RPG/management series.

Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 is currently in development, and interested players can do their part in a closed playtesting session.

Previously only open to backers of the original game’s Kickstarter campaign, Agate now has extended access to the public. Registrations are open until May 6, 2021.

Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 is scheduled to be released in 2021, and the game’s Steam page suggests that it will be an Early Access title. Early playtests and continuous integration of the community let us hope for a more polished and improved version of the magical school management gameplay, which made the series so famous. However, we still don’t know enough about the planned changes and improvements to assess this.

Still, the first screenshots already show the progress made with the graphics and hint at a shift towards a turn-based battle system:

Since he has been actively playing games since the early 90s, combing both worlds in Virtual SEA brought together both of his passions.
