Turn-based RPG Graywalkers: Purgatory is coming to Early Access soon

Dreamlords Digital, based in the Philippines and the USA, just announced that their tactical and turn-based role-playing game Graywalkers: Purgatory will enter Steam’s early access program in the first quarter of 2017.

Graywalkers 1

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the realms of heaven and hell came down on earth in an event called “The Rupture”. On a newly formed island called Purgatory, players will take control of the prophesied leader of a group called the Graywalkers. The goal is no less than saving the world by uniting humanity and fighting the supernatural forces that invaded our home planet.

Graywalkers 2

The developers describe their game as mix between X-Com, Jagged Alliance and Fallout which is played from a top-down perspective. Graywalkers: Purgatory will feature three games modes: a story-driven campaign, a mission-based skirmish mode and a multiplayer part. At the beginning of early access, only skirmish mode will be available and multiplayer will be added as a free update later. The game will feature diverse character and resources management using a new, yet undefined, table-top RPG system. RPG classics such as various races, factions and enemies round up the package.

The game was funded on Kickstarter and is now currently in the alpha stage. You can still support the development by pledging on their website. It will be released first for PC (Windows, Mac, Linux) and will be ported to console (PS4 & Xbox One). A very rough gameplay demo can be found here.
