Thai studio Corecell announces new “holypunk” roguelite Quantamancy: The Purgatory
Thai indie studio Corecell has announced Quantamancy: The Purgatory, a new game in development. The studio is best known as the makers of the Aeterno Blade series and most recently came into the limelight following a legal dispute with UK publisher PQube.

The developers describe Quantamancy: The Purgatory as a roguelite action RPG in the so-called “holypunk” setting. In a world where divine wonder and technology go hand-in-hand, we slip into the roles of an unlikely duo of a hardened criminal on the run and a harmless young girl.
The main focus will be on the relationships we can build with the seven other characters in the game. In order to strengthen our relationships, Quantamancy aims at tough choices that present us with moral dilemmas.

It is unclear, so far, how the roguelite and action elements will harmonize with the relationship system, as Corecell hasn’t shown any gameplay yet. What is certain, however, is that Quantamancy: The Purgatory will be released for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series/One, and for PC on Steam.
