Indonesian game developer Trimatra Studio (not to be confused with Trimatra Interactive) has shared details on their latest project, Detained Souls – a third-person horror adventure set in a haunted Indonesian village.
Detained Souls is set in an abandoned and overgrown Indonesian village.
What We Know:
Developed using Unreal Engine 5
Follows a dark narrative where a seemingly tranquil village hides sinister secrets
Players will take on the roles of two protagonists: Danu, a brave and intelligent man determined to uncover the truth and Kinanti, a resolute woman skilled at piecing together clues.
Footage shows an overgrown, abandoned village setting with a gloomy atmosphere
Danu is one of Detained Soul’s two main characters.
What We Don’t Know Yet:
Release date and target platforms (though PC seems likely)
Specifics on the core gameplay loop – whether it will be more combat or exploration-focused
If there will be any survival horror elements incorporated
While details remain limited, Detained Souls appears poised to deliver an immersive, unsettling horror experience drawing from Indonesian cultural influences. Fans of the genre will no doubt keep a close eye on this upcoming title from Trimatra Studio.
