Indie Game Studio Kopiforge to Debut SEDAP! Demo at Steam’s Cooking Fest
Kopiforge, an indie game studio from Singapore, is working on its debut title, SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure.
This co-op cooking game, set in an imaginative version of Southeast Asia, invites players to experience the culture and cuisine of the region. The studio has announced that the first public demo of SEDAP! will be released on Steam on November 11, 2024, aligning with Steam’s Cooking Fest.

Drawing inspiration from the popular party game Overcooked!, SEDAP! promises chaotic co-op gameplay infused with a distinctly Southeast Asian flavour, also reflected in the game’s colourful graphics and a soundtrack composed by Tan Ting Yan Rebecca, which features traditional Southeast Asian instruments.

The demo will allow players roughly 30 minutes of gameplay, introducing them to Feisty Forest, the game’s initial biome. Within this setting, players can look forward to preparing iconic dishes such as pineapple fried rice, mango sticky rice, and sambal kangkong. The game offers both single-player and multiplayer options, though the current demo version does not support online multiplayer, only local co-op. However, players can still play cooperatively across two computers via Steam’s Remote Play Together feature.

A new gameplay footage trailer for SEDAP! will be showcased at The Media Indie Exchange (MIX) Fall Online Showcase on November 21. During the event, the official release date on Steam and consoles will also be revealed.
