Project Buramato is Borneo’s Answer to Genshin Impact and BotW

August 23, 2021 | Andreas Betsche

Project Buramato is the working title for a new game by the Indonesian studio Ozysoft, previously known for the horror game Pulang Insanity. However, this time, it’s a 3D action adventure platformer in high fantasy settings inspired by traditional Bornean folktales. The first scenes in the game indicate that Ozysoft was inspired by the popular adventure games Breath of The Wild and Genshin Impact. Still, despite the prominent role models, the game’s style is clearly recognisable in the semi-open world environments and character designs.

Project Buramato will be played from a third-person perspective, using minimalist narration and magic-based shooter gameplay. The game is under development and will be released in late 2022. However, by the end of this year, interested players should be able to playtest a prototype on Steam.
