Gamescom Asia 2023 in Singapore, the Asian offshoot of the popular gaming event, announces an exciting addition for this year: the first-ever B2C Entertainment Zone. As a hybrid, last year’s event was only open to trade visitors. The new zone will feature Capcom as its debut exhibitor, promising a hands-on experience for gaming enthusiasts and fans.

Industry Insights and Expert Speakers Trade Zone

Attendees at the Trade Zone can expect insights from renowned industry experts and companies like CD PROJEKT RED, Focus Entertainment, Mojang Studios, and Ubisoft. The Content Creators Summit on October 20th will offer strategies for content creators, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and influencers.

Join the Excitement: Gamescom Asia 2023 to Showcase Indie Wavemakers Area

Of course, gamescom Asia 2023 will feature industry giants but also promises to provide a platform for indie game developers. The all-new Indie Wavemakers area vows to shine a spotlight on innovative and creative game projects, especially from Southeast Asia.

A Malaysian/Singaporean Co-Production: SEA Game Awards

In partnership with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), gamescom asia will also recognise the SEA Game Awards winners at the event for the first time, opening the stage for the striving Southeast Asian game developer scene.

Country Pavilions and Global Participation

The organizers of gamescom asia have secured commitments from numerous countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Germany, Canada, the USA, and Great Britain. This international presence will add diversity and richness to the event.

Get Ready for gamescom asia 2023: Registration Details and Event Venue

Registration for trade and industry members is now open. Public tickets will be available at the end of July, giving gamers a chance to be a part of this exciting event, happening on 19–22 October 2023 at the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore.


Andreas Betsche

Andreas Betsche founded Virtual SEA in early 2016 after researching Cambodian mobile games for his Master’s thesis. He has a background in Southeast Asia studies and has worked and lived in Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Since he has been actively playing games since the early 90s, combing both worlds in Virtual SEA brought together both of his passions.
