Embark on a Medical and Magical Mission in Indonesian game Potion Permit

June 28, 2022 | Kenzie

How does a young chemist pass off as a legitimate medical professional instead of a snake oil salesperson? Finding the answer to this question is your mission in Bandung-based developer MassHive Media’s newest game Potion Permit, coming to PC and consoles soon.

Potion Permit is an open-ended simulation RPG where your ultimate goal is to convince the residents of the sleepy town of Moonbury to trust your pure intentions and excellent remedies.

Thrust into the world of the magical and the medical as the emissary of The Medical Association, sent to save the residents of a faraway village. Unfortunately, this mission is made a bit harder due to the fact that the town doesn’t have confidence in you and your modern, foreign capabilities.

It’s up to you to gain their faith and help the town’s health flourish! Along the way, you can also develop your relationships with the locals and explore the beautiful lands of Moonbury.

Main game mechanics include:

  • Diagnosing ill residents and crafting the best remedy potions
  • Foraging essential flora and hunting important fauna
  • Building relationships with villagers, convince them of your skill, and help the town grow
  • Brewing different remedies to unlock more powerful and useful recipes

The game puts a compelling spin on the Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley formula, and will definitely hit the spot for lovers of the genre. Potion Permit’s story, mechanics, and pixel aesthetics give an eyecatching combination that fans can look forward to.

Thinking about jumping into the cozy, creative, crafty fun? You can try out the demo on Steam.

Potion Permit will be yours to play on September 22, 2022. It will be available on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games.

They also have a physical Collector’s Edition available for eager gamers, available at Funstock.
