SEAGO 2025 is the Ultimate Celebration of Southeast Asian Games
With a host of incredible conferences and events both online and in-person, the Southeast Asian games industry continues a meteoric rise to the average indie gamer’s attention. One of its most prominent events is the end-of-year showcase, Southeast Asia Games Onward (SEAGO). Now on its third year, happening from December 1-31, 2025, the event features over 200 games from around the region.
SEAGO is a project spearheaded by popular games content creator and curator SEAGamethetic. From their playful gimmick antics on X/Twitter highlighting the unique imprint of Southeast Asian pop culture in games, to their meticulous archiving of SEA’s game development history in the Southeast Asia Game Wiki, they’ve developed into a bastion of the community and industry, diving deep and uncovering SEA games lore and hidden gems.
The third iteration picks up on a train of SEA games interest, bolstered by online events like the Southeast Asian Games Showcase as part of the Summer Game Fest, and offline events like gamescom asia – previously hosted in Singapore, and now in Thailand.
SEAGO 2025 features indie games proudly made by Southeast Asians – from renown developers to diamonds in the rough. With both curations available on Steam and itch.io, gamers can view the collection, try demos, and buy games from either platform. Here are some of the featured games that interested gamers can check out – the Steam page also displays them by country and by genre.
