Bali, 11 October 2025 – The latest edition of the Indonesia Game Developer eXchange (IGDX) was held on 9-11 October 2025 at The Stones, Bali, marking its 6th year of nurturing the country’s local game development ecosystem. The event served as a platform to facilitate business matchmaking, connecting developers with global players who are key to driving investments into the game development sector.

Southeast Asia’s Creative Digital Hub

The event saw 4,000 visitors from all over the world, attracting professionals and experts from in and outside the game development industry, including attendance from game developers, investors, gaming platforms & distributors, as well as government representatives and educational institutions.

The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of Indonesia, Meutya Hafid, emphasized Indonesia’s growing role in the global game ecosystem in her remarks: “IGDX Business is a strategic platform that ensures Indonesia is not just a game market, but a place for innovation. Through this initiative, we aim to connect local talent with global opportunities so that Indonesia’s creativity resonates across the world.

Uplifting Creative Local Talent

A major highlight of IGDX is the Indie Game Showcase, with more than 30 local studios hand-picked to present their projects directly to business visitors. Aside from strengthening established studios, the event also featured an amazing showcase of incubated projects from the GameSeed program as well as booths from regional game dev communities and universities.

Connecting Developers and Platforms

IGDX organized closed-room sessions where studios and publishers can be face-to-face with representatives from PlayStation, Xsolla, and Roblox. The companies shared programs for prototyping funds, porting support, and monetization solutions.

Learning Globally, Thinking Locally

The event brought in lots of opportunities for learning and exploring global trends and strategies in the game industry. A whole day was dedicated to keynote sessions and panel discussions, featuring speakers from Google Play, Raw Fury, 11bit Studios, and Tencent.
