Capcom Unveils Gamescom Asia 2024 Line-up

Capcom has announced its full line-up for gamescom asia 2024, featuring several anticipated titles and offering fans in Southeast Asia the chance to experience new gameplay firsthand. Highlights include the debut of Monster Hunter Wilds, along with remastered classics and fresh content for popular franchises.

Capcom’s Gamescom Asia Line-Up

  • Monster Hunter Wilds: Southeast Asia will host the first public playable demo of Monster Hunter Wilds. The game is slated for release in 2025 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
  • Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster: Capcom is bringing back Dead Rising with enhanced visuals and gameplay. The remastered version will be available digitally from 19th September 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam). A physical edition for PlayStation 5 will follow on 8th November 2024.
  • Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics: This collection, which includes seven iconic titles, will be available digitally on 12th September 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Physical copies will be available from 22nd November 2024.
  • Street Fighter 6: Visitors will get a chance to try out Street Fighter 6 with the introduction of Terry Bogard from SNK’s Fatal Fury series. The character can be accessed through Fighter Coins or by purchasing the Year 2 Character Pass.
  • Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess: Another title making an appearance at Gamescom Asia, this action-strategy game is currently available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam.

Capcom Pro Tour 2024

Capcom also revealed that the Capcom Pro Tour 2024 Super Premier will take place in Singapore. Street Fighter 6 players will compete for a spot in Capcom Cup 11 in Japan, where the grand prize is $1 million USD. The two finalists in the Singapore event will secure direct entry into the Cup.

Andreas Betsche founded Virtual SEA in early 2016 after researching Cambodian mobile games for his Master’s thesis. He has a background in Southeast Asia studies and has worked and lived in Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
