IGDX 2025 Featured Indie Games: Silent Trip

October 19, 2025 | Kenzie

Following VirtualSEA’s coverage of Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2025, we’re putting the spotlight on 5 games that stood out to represent the skill and diversity in Indonesia’s game development industry.

Silent Trip is an indie game by Bawang Studio from Jakarta, Indonesia, a three-member development team who are students from Binus University Kemanggisan. They have a variety of projects under their belt as seen in their itch.io portfolio.

While there are many games exploring mental health and raising awareness, Silent Trip sets itself apart by tackling Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), and specifically, the experience of coping with agoraphobia in public transport. Through an interactive experience, the developer aims to help players understand the struggles and coping mechanisms of individuals affected by anxiety.

You can learn more about Silent Trip and Bawang Studio from their itch.io page and Instagram.

Kenzie received a second childhood by crunching five generations of video game history in her free time – out of pure boredom and fascination. Since then, she’s been obsessively playing and writing about games and interactive fiction. She hopped aboard VirtualSEA to discover more about the regional game industry and help promote its talent and titles. She has a rolling list of favorite games, but Knights of the Old Republic and Horizon Zero Dawn come out on top.
