IGDX 2025 Featured Indie Games: Mirth Island + Bento Story
Following VirtualSEA’s coverage of Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2025, we’re putting the spotlight on 5 games that stood out to represent the skill and diversity in Indonesia’s game development industry.
Clay Game Studio is an award-winning game development studio based in Malang, Indonesia. For IGDX 2025, the accomplished game studio brought a double feature to the exhibition floor.
First up is Mirth Island, an adventure rhythm game in the same universe as the demo-length delight, Mirth Melody. The game is stacked with adorable characters, charming musical numbers, and a story centered on the power of community and friendship.
Next up is their newest game, Bento Story, is a sandbox experience that puts you in the shoes of a bento content creator – you’ve probably gotten them on your reels algorithm! While you put together your delicious, delightful creations, the narrative features a wholesome story about meteoric online rise of your lunchbox portraits.
