The pandemic triggered by the Corona Virus keeps the world in terror and of course also affects game development around the world. On itch.io, we found three short and free games from Southeast Asia  that each deal with the Covid19 threat and the associated restrictions. We hope you enjoy reading and playing – take care, stay at home and above all, stay healthy!

Stay – A cute but anxious girlfriend simulator

One of the most important aspects of fighting the virus is social isolation to avoid further infection. “Stay – A cute but anxious girlfriend simulator” asks how you can cope with this loneliness in your own home: eating, drinking, sleeping, playing games, maintaining digital contacts but also working from the home office are part of it. We take care of all this on behalf of a young woman in this beautifully drawn idle simulator from Indonesia with a relaxing soundtrack. Just the game you need to play in these stressful times!

Micro Pandemic

In Micro Pandemic we fight against the Corona Virus – literally armed with a sword and disinfectant spray. Wrapped as a dungeon crawler in a super retro 8-bit look, Micro Pandemic presents the most important hygienic rules: washing hands (restores energy) and avoiding contact with other people and, above all, viruses. This is how you win the final fight against the virus boss!

Cutie Pox Simulator

The Cutie Pox Simulator is not actually a game, but a simplified representation and simulation of how the virus spreads during a pandemic. However, Tan Kang Soon from Singapore manages to use the simplest means to visualize how measures such as social distancing and quarantine can affect the pandemic. An exciting – and sometimes frightening – experiment and maybe a good tool to convince even the last skeptics to stay at home.
